RSK MEMBERSHIP  

There are five membership classes:

  1. Life Members
  2. Full Members
  3. Joint Members
  4. Associate Members
  5. Student Members
  1. A Life Member is one who, having been a member of the Society for five consecutive years, may, subject to the approval of the Committee, commute all future annual subscriptions by a payment of such sum as may from time to time be determined by resolution at a General Meeting of the Society, such resolution to be notified on the notice convening such meeting.   Such payment shall entitle such member to all the privileges and rights of membership fort the remainder of his life.
  2. A Full member is a member duly elected as such.  He shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Society and shall be eligible for election to the Committee or any sub-Committee of the Society and to vote thereon.   Full membership may be granted to any person who is:
    1. Twelve years of age or older, and
    2. Holds a valid Amateur Radio license.
  3. Joint members are husband and wife with Full Membership duly elected as such, and individually entitled to all the privileges of the Society as if each was a Full member.
  4. An Associate Member is one who not eligible for full membership but is interested in Amateur Radio and the purposes of the Society, and shall be eligible for election to the Committee or any sub-Committee of the Society and to vote thereon.   
  5. A Student Member is one who qualifies as an Associate Member and is a full time student.

Each candidate for admission must be proposed in writing by a Full Member or Associate Member and seconded by another Full Member or Associate Member of the Society.  Such members must have been members of the Society for at least one year.  Entrance fee and annual subscription must accompany the proposal in each case. 

All classes of member shall, upon entry by Committee approval, pay an entry fee appropriate to that membership class.  The level of entry fee will be decided by a general Meeting as necessary.

Subscriptions are due on joining and thereafter on 1st January each year.
