Amateur radio can provide domestic technical expertise that leads to an increase in national self-reliance, continuous use of radio technology, builds technical expertise, and exposes youth to the world of telecommunications and possibly a career in modern electronics.

Supporting Amateur Radio Growth
RSK supports the IARU STARS-WG (Support The Amateur Radio Service - working group of the International Amateur Radio Union Region 1). Under the STARS program, RSK supports affiliate radio clubs in social and welfare clubs, secondary schools, and technical institutions through mentoring and training.
RSK is undertaking this mission with renewed vigor and excitement. We continually seek out new partners and friends to grow the hobby in the region. The increasing need for enhanced communications during emergencies and large events creates opportunities to popularize amateur radio.
We explore emerging and new technologies that contribute to amateur radio's role in:
- Automobile races (motorcycles and cars)
- Sporting events (marathons)
- Concerts and public gatherings
- Graduations and ceremonies
- Other large-scale community activities
These opportunities help create impact and provide a platform to popularize amateur radio while demonstrating its value as a national resource.
